StatMonitor

StatMonitor should load and start shortly.  StatMonitor requres the Java 2 browser plugin.
If it's not already installed on your browser, click on the Java window to install the plugin.
How this appears will depend on your browser.  You may see a little bar pop up on your
browser like the one here:

Instructions for installing Java 2 Plugin

When you install the plugin, go ahead and just select the default settings for the
installation.  As it's installing, you'll see a series of status windows for the Java install.

Installing the Java 2 Plugin

<>When it's finished, go back to your browser window - the StatMonitor applet
should start loading.  If you see a little java box light up (see below), then you've
installed the plugin correctly.

At this point, the StatMonitor.jar java file is being downloaded to your machine.
Okay, I've been trying to get a java code signing certificate from Thawte but I don't have
it yet so for now, the jar file is "digitally signed" by me (FantasyAlgorithms.com).  This
will change once I get my certificate.  In the meantime, you may see something
like the warning message below:

Digital Signature Warning

Click on "Yes" to install the certificate.  The reason for the digital signature
is because the java program must download the statistics from NFL.com
and by default, java applets are not allowed to access other computers unless
you give them specific privileges (i.e., with the certificate above).  You can
run StatMonitor without accepting the certificate but it won't be able to access
any of the statistics...

If you've got this far, congratulations.  It gets much easier now.  The program
will start and launch a new window and a new program will appear in your taskbar:

StatMonitor

Once the program starts, you should leave the browser window alone.  If
you change pages, the program will stop - that's just a property of applets.  You
can still browse around with another browser window - just don't close the
one to http://www.fantasyalgorithms.com/StatMonitor.html or else the StatMonitor
program will close and disappear.

Now, the first step is to set the number of players in your lineup, and set your league
scoring parameters.  Once you've done all that, click on "Set Matchup".  After you've
entered the team names and players for each team, click on the "Settings" tab in the
upper left-hand corner of the StatMonitor window to get back to the "Settings" page.
You can either add more matchups at this point or else start the monitor.  Once you start
the monitor, you can click around the different matchups by selecting the appropriate tab.
